Cox’s Bazar Correspondent: Twenty six Rohingya were arrested by Border Guard of Bangaladesh (BGB) while trying to enter Bangladesh territory through different points of Gundum and Tumbru frontier, Naikhongchury of Bandorban on 21st April 2016.
The BGB Captain Lt. Colonel Imran Ullah Sarkar of Battalion 17 of Cox’s Bazar said, the BGB personnel conducted operation at various points along the border till 11: 00 am and detained those Rohingya while trying to intrude into Bangladesh territories from Burma.
Later, those 26 illegal Burmese nationals known as (Rohingya) were pushed back to Burma through Gumdum border point at 12:00 pm the same day.
BGB Officer Imran Sarkar more added, his BGB forces arrested about 340 Burmese nationals mostly Rohingya over the last 20 days and deported them back to Burma.
