Cox’s Bazar Correspondent: Three Bangladeshi nationals have been arrested by police of Inani police camp for distributing relief aids to Rohingya unregistered refugees of slums in Suankhali of Ukhiya.
The arrestees are known as Bishop Dilip Odikari s/o Nobin Odikari, Bikash Mondol s/o Bimol Mondol and Shonkor Das s/o Bandu Das of New Bazar, Bataara Gram of Dhaka-1212.
Acting on tip off, a group of police from Inani police camp led by In Charge (IC) of Ukhiya police station under Cox’s Bazar rushed to the slum in Suankhali and intercepted the aforesaid men and seized two sacks of Burmese script books, 30 sacks of rice, 30 sacks of lentils, 30 sacks of flatten rice, 300 kg of potatoes, 150 kg of 500 kg o salt, 60 liters of oil, and 5 sacks of blanket while being distributed among the Rohingya unregistered refugees in Suankhali area of Ukhiya police station on 28 March 2016.
The Officer In charge, Md. Habibur Rahman of Ukhiya police station said, the arrests confessed during interrogation that they were engaged in religion converting mission and trying to convert the Rohingya into their religion by any means.
