Buthidaung Correspondent: Four Rakhine people have been convicted to 3 (three) years jail terms each by judge in Buthidaung court on 3rd of Feb, 2016.
The convicted were identified as Khain Myo Min (alias) Aung Tun Mya, Thein Soe (alias) Kyaw Hla, Arkan Army 2nd Corporal Wun Khin (alias) Wun Tin and army personal Soe Min Tun.
Khain Myo Min and Kyaw Hla were captured by Burmese military column deployed for battle from Wanakyun area of Buthidaung north bordering Bangladesh, the 2nd Colonel of Burmese army being a plaintiff filed a case against them with the Buthidaung court on 25th of June 2015 while Arakan Army rebel 2nd Corporal Wun Tin and Burmese army personal Soe Min were captured from Pi Nwe Che of Awyama hamlet of Buthidaung and army major Zaw Min Tun being the plaintiff lodged case against the them with the Buthidaung court on 9th of July 2015.
They were detained alleged in connection with the Arakan Army rebel that is fighting with the Burmese army in Arakan state.
They have been sentenced to 3 years each respectively by judge in Buthidaung court with illegal group Act, under section 17 (1) on 3rd of Feb, 2016 after eight month interrogation to the arrestees, according to a reliable source from Buthidaung township.
On the other hand, afterward of Arakan Army rebels fighting occurred with the Burmese military from May, 2015 – Feb, 2016 in Kyauk Taw and Palewet Township, about 30 arrestees in connection with the Arakan Army rebel are under interrogation in Sittway, Buthidaung, Taungup, Kyauk Taw, Kyauk Pyu and Yangon Township, said a Rakhine elite person.
