Sittway Correspondent: Five experienced and skilled physicians have set up treatment centers and started to provide treatment to Rohingya and Rakhine suffering patients at Guaillardel (Thaychaung), Thakkaypyin and Daapain villages of Sittway from 20th of Feb, 2016.
The 5 physicians are from the city, Sittway and they are Dr. Zingma Oo, Dr. Ze Min Aung, Dr. Aye Chan Ngring, Dr. Ko Ko Naing and Dr. Ko Ko Saw.
Dr. Ze Min Aung, Ko Ko Saw and Ko Ko Naing sit at the clinic set up in Guaillardel (Thechang), Dr. Zingma Oo in Thakkeypyin and Dr. Ko Ko Saw at Daapaing of Sittway respectively, said a village doctor.
He more added, the patients are charged for 5,000 Kys as visit or test fees except treatment and they have to buy medicines from the pharmacy as per the prescriptions and to pay physicians for treatment as it is not for free. It is just for the welfare of Rohingyas where patients suffer due to unavailability of experienced and skilled doctors in the area even though some of the patients have money for treatment.
According to a Rohingy villager, earlier, there were not accessible doctors in the aforesaid villages for which several patients had to suffer from simple diseases and even most of the times patients died of uncomplicated diseases there. Patients did not get doctors there to do treatment for their diseases with the cost of their own as well.
Now, the Rohingya villagers are expressing their pleasures and gratefulness to have these three physicians around there after long suffering as they can receive their treatment in need even though they need to pay for treatment, said a Rohingy patient, Hasina Begum.
