Buthidaung Correspondent: A Rohingya has been assaulted to severe injury by unknown Rakhine miscreants in Buthidaung on March 23, 2016.
The victim has been identified as Md Amin 50 s/o Abu Tayoub of Pyin Kyauk Pyin village of Lawedet Pyin Che Union, Buthidaung.
According to reliable source, “Amin was going by vehicle with the wedding party to the bridegroom house. But, he was dropped from the vehicle by the Rakhine driver on the half way to the bridegroom house where the Rakhine village situated and no Rohingya lives nearby, and the victim is mentally ill.
While he was walking through the Rakhine village near the army Cantonment no. 18 to bridegroom house, he was caught and assaulted to severe injury at many parts of his body by Rakhine hoodlums and dropped him in the drain.
Later, when his family members knew that he did not come back from the wedding ceremony, they started searching everywhere, and finally found him abandoned in a drain near the Rakhine village in an unconscious condition at 11:00 am the next day”.
