A woman has died in Shaplapur from pregnancy related disease.
17 year Sadeka Begum was suffering from intense labour pain for three days before she passed away on the pre dawn hours of Wednesday.
Her family was too poor to arrange treatment for her.
Pregnancy at an early age is also responsible for the death of many Rohingya women. Lack of nutrition is very common among much of the Rohingya women leading to a weakening of the immune system that proves fatal during pregnancy.
Awareness regarding health and nutrition among women is also very low among the Rohingya community.
