Rakhine villagers stop Muslim boy from going to hospital
Burma Times Correspondent: March 11, 2015
Armed terrorists have beaten a 10 year Rohingya Muslim boy to death in the hills adjacent to Hada para, Mamra, Kyaukpaw.
In the morning, two boys went to the nearby hills to collect wood. On their incursion, they noticed several Rakhine men with guns. The armed men also spotted and chased them. They successfully apprehended one of the boys while the other escaped.
The boy who ran away alerted the villagers to the presence of terrorists in the hills. The villagers gathered together and ran to the hills in the hope of rescuing the boy. There they found the boy lying unconcious with signs of physical assault all over his battered body.
He was still alive at this point when villagers sped with him towards the hospital in the nearby town.
However, as they went out of the village, local Rakhine men who had become aware of the incident stopped them from going to the hospital. The father of the Rohingya Muslim boy along with others pleaded in vain as the Rakhine villagers did not let them pass.
Meanwhile the boy died.
The deceased has been identified as Noor Boyan, s/o Md Tokim.
