The government of Thailand is always prepared to work with the new government of Burma and extend cooperation in all aspects, Prayut Chan-o-cha told Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, Chief of Burma’s armed forces.
Prime Minister of Thailand, Prayut told the Chief of Army that the two sides’ militaries would cooperate more intimately mainly on security and border development issues. The prime minister added that he was delighted that the top level officials of both sides met regularly to develop relations and cooperate for the interest of people.
The Burma general was in Bangkok on a three-day official visit at the invitation of Thailand’s Armed Forces.
Burma Army Chief, Min Aung Hlaing is the most senior Burma official visited Thailand for the first time since the new government went to power after the general election held in November 2016.
The demonstrated close and longstanding relations between the both militaries and the countries, inspired extended cooperation on the issues related to the economy and labor force, Aung Hlaing added.
