Police arrested a Muslim man along with three Rakhines in the hills near Citar Furu, Maungdaw South.
They were arrested after police found two firearms in their hut. The Rakhines are suspected to be members of Arakan Army.
The Muslim man Robi Alam s/o Md Hossain is a farmer employed in the services of the Rakhine men. His family says he does not have any involvement with the Arakan Army which is a Rakhine insurgent outfit.
In a separate incident the military recovered around 40 firearms from Cil Hali in Maungdaw North believed to be used by the Arakan Army on Thursday.
Meanwhile there are reports that Rakhine sympathisers of Arakan Army are considering smuggling operations into Bangladesh to finance the outfit.
