Some Bangladeshi Rakhine families in Ching Dong hill, Buthidaung have went back to Bangladesh on Saturday. They have entered Bangladesh territory in the Bandarban area.
Their decision to go back to Bangladesh comes amidst clashes between Rakhine insurgents and the army in Kyauktaw.
Many Bangladeshi Rakhines are reportedly on the side of the insurgents raising fears of a government backlash against these migrants.
Bangladesh Rakhines crossed over into Burma following promises of free land and security by nationalist groups who want them to replace Muslims in some areas. Most of them were settled on lands previously owned by Rohingya Muslims. However the Kyaultaw clashes are making many of them uncertain.
