A refugee in Shaplapur, Bangladesh died on Thursday after a long fight with injuries sustained during robbery.
Syed Noor (47), s/o Syed Kashim received mortal injuries in his back and stomach almost two years ago in the hands of robbers as he went to fish in the sea.
At that time he received some preliminary treatment. However poverty forced him to discontinue treatment.
As his health deteriorated he went to a village doctor. This however failed to improve his health and a few days back he went to a proper doctor.
The doctor told him that he would need at least 30,000 Bangladesh taka. He was unable to arrange the money and died without medical care.
Relatives said that he might have lived if they could afford proper treatment.
