A BGP Personal (Border Guard Police) of Burma was arrested by the BGB (Border Guard of Bangladesh) on Tuesday.
However, he was identified as Hlu Tan Hlu, a BGP personal of Battalion number 02 of Burma side whose BGP official number is-253411. He intruded into Bangladesh territory through Naikhonchuri border of Bandarban on Tuesday. He was a BGP personal of Anjupara BOP (Border Outpost) under Battalion no.02 of Burma side adjacent to pillar no. 45 of Bangladesh. It was known that the 2nd commander of that BOP was, Min Aye Tun and there were eleven persons under his command. Among the eleven BGP Personals, Hlu Tan Hlu was a Rakhine community and the rest others were Burmese majority.
According to Hlu Tan Hlu, the 2nd in Command including the rest nine persons had been conducting oppression on him for long time. Those BGP Personals whose identity was Burmese majority used various kinds of abusive, uncivilized languages on him and tortured him as he was the Rakhine community.
On last Monday, at night, Hlu Tan was insulted by the 2nd commanding person without any fault viewing him as Rakhine community and at one stage of insult he was sent to duty without having meal. At this, Hlu Tan became furious and shot the 2nd in Command to death. Later, Hlu Tan tried to flee to Bangladesh through the Naikhonchuri border where he was arrested by Bangladesh BGB.
The Lt. Colonel of BGB, Battalion no. 50 Shofiul Azam Pervez said, Hlu Tun was first detained on suspicion. Later, he confessed his identity during interrogation by BGB personals of Bangladesh. Having known that he was arrested inside Bangladesh, Burma side urged BGB to return him to Myanmar side.
As per request from Burma side, Hlu Tun, the BGP personal has been handed over to the BGP captain, Saw Twe Zaw of Battalion no. 02 via Gum Dum frontier of Bangladesh through flag meeting on 7th of January 2016. The BGP personal was intolerable of persecution by Burmese majority and for this reason he was compelled to shot the commander to death and escaped the arrest to take shelter in Bangladesh. It is known to all over the world how cruel, injustice and dangerous the Burmese government is. It was inhumanity of Bangladesh side that he was handed over to the tiger, according to an elderly person of Rakhine community, Taung Pyu, Maung Daw.
