Shoppers at Jula para near Mrauk U were beaten and robbed by BGP on Sunday.
Many Rohingyas who had come to the markets for the last days of Ramadan were robbed and assaulted by BGP as they made their way home.
Earlier when the Rohingyas entered the market place, the BGP made them take off their Islamic headgear and raise their hands in a surrender position.
There were no women in the market as the BGP had earlier forced them to take off their hijab. The BGP forces posted in this point since 2012 have been harassing Muslim men and women for wearing traditional Islamic dresses for a long time. Assault and extortion are also very common.
