Four corrupted blood suckers in an IDP camp of Sittwe, the capital of Arakan, who were working for Rohingya refugees since 2012, caught red-hand with eighty million Kyat cheating money on February 8 by the authorities of donor groups.
A refugee from one of the Sittwe IDP camp informed to social media that these four were earning reliefs for refugees from four Malaysian based NGOs since 2012 but never distributed it correctly to the refugees with the intention of making money for themselves.
The four blood suckers of Rohingya refugees are Molvi Amin Sharif, Maung Tin (aka) Hasim s/o Kasim, Ayub s/o Mohammed Hasan and Salim. They all were from Nazipara past but are living in Dapaing IDP camp.
The refugee who informed social media said those four earn relief from Malaysian based MAFIN, MRF, MRA and MAUK since 2012 for distribution among the refugees but always cook the books with incorrect data.
“They cheated like as they paid 27000 Kyat for a bag of rice which cost indeed only 17000 Kyat and likewise they mentioned 300 bags while really distributed 100 bags of rice only”, the refugee said.
When a group of refugees complaint their misconducts to the authorities of respective NGOs for whom these four working, then the NGOs did a fieldwork and caught them red-hand with an entry of 80 million Kyat in ledgers.
Anyhow, the group leader of these four, Molvi Amin Sharif offered 5 million Kyat only while they were asked a compensation of 40 million Kyat by the NGOs.
