A Rohingya refugee arrested by Malaysian police has been released from prison.
Enamul Haque, s/o Shamsul Alam was earlier freed by traffickers more than nine months ago. However when he was crossing the border from Thailand, he was arrested by Malaysian police and imprisoned for nine months.
Since his release, he has not been able to contact his family members.
Enamul is from Dumbai para in Bolibazar from Maungdaw North.
Like almost all boat people, Enamul was mercilessly tortured by traffickers and his family members were forced to pay the ransom money. However he now has no knowledge of their whereabouts.
