Burma Correspondent: Burmese army has been taking preparation to train up about 200 Rohingya ethnic minority people from Yakhine State as military from the first week of February 2016. Among 200 Rohingyas, there are about 197 white card holders and the rest of the three Green card holders who are citizens of Burma, according to U Hla Maung Tin (Mohamed Rofique), a religion leader of ward no. 01 of Maung Daw Township.
“We are very pleased that the Burmese government is going to appoint Rohingyas in military services and there are many other Rohinhya people who love to be in military services. I specially hope that the Burmese government will later issue Green Card to Rohingyas although they are now white card holders, according to the information.
After they are trained up on war strategies, the military top concerned officials and the country’s high significant ministers will discuss the facts regarding the posting place of Rohingya war trained ups, how much their salary will be and issuing Green Card on last week of January 2016.
Regarding the planning of military training to Rohingyas, the 2nd State Peace minister, U Maung Mient said, though the human rights, citizen rights and equal rights are understood, it is important to review the facts during the discussion meeting of all the citizens to have the opinion of people about providing war training to them who are not recognized yet as citizen of the country.
No statement or aspects of Citizen Armies regarding the fact were found yet. It has become a challenge whether the military training is concerned to the continuous fighting with (AA) Arakan Army or the Burmese armies agree on it.
