Teknaf : Burmese passport holding Nationals are not being allowed to enter Bangladesh through Teknaf land port for performing World Izyema this year. For the last few days, about 200 Burmese nationals who tried to enter Bangladesh with legal passport were pushed back to Burma, according to land port immigration ASI Assistant Sub-Inspector, Mohamed Abul Hussain.
He said, it was already informed the Burmese nationals not to come to Bangladesh this year. He also said, as there is no permission from Bangladesh government, no Burmese national is allowed to enter Bangladesh though he/she has passport except the person who needs to come for emergency purpose.
According to information, on 6th of Dec, 2015 at 6.pm, about 80 persons were returned to Burma who tried to come with passport. Now the Bangladesh border is tightened in order that no one from Burma can enter Bangladesh since there is no permission from government side.
Earlier this time, hundreds of Burmese nationals used to enter Bangladesh through the Teknaf land port on the occassion of World Iztema every day. But this time, for the security interest of the country, about 100 people coming for Iztema have been sent back to Burma which is a deprivation of Holy Iztema.
