“Luminous lantern parade ” was hosted by Multicultural Development Association (MDA) in Brisbane Queensland Australia this evening. Approximately 10,000 people from different cultural back ground jointed the event to welcome the Refugees and migrants. This event is to bring people from different cultural background together and to welcome new Queenslanders and to therefore promote harmony and multiculturalism .

Each community was carrying their own banner and designated lantern. Hundreds of Rohingya attended the event. Burmese Rohingya Association in Queensland-Australia (BRAQA) was representing the Rohingya community to welcome the Refugees and migrants. Mr Hossain Juhar and Ayatullah Saifullah also there and lead the Rohingya Rally.
It is filled with cultural delights from all over the world. It is truly a world music concert and a perfect way to finish Queensland’s largest welcome party. It begins with a colourful walk from The Cultural Forecourt, joining the parade of captivating lanterns. It winds its way through South Bank Parklands in a dazzling display of light before entering The Courier-Mail Piazza for a free concert filled with world music.
