There are reports that the captured Bangladesh soldier was assaulted into revealing sensitive information by the BGP.
On Tuesday, BGP soldiers were telling tabbes in Maungdaw bazar on how their colleagues were pressing the captured soldier to reveal information relating to the strength and deployment of Bangladesh Border Guards troops and the Bangladesh army.
The BGP were heard saying that in case a clash broke out in the coming days, the BGP and the army was better informed about the strength and weakness of the Bangladeshi side. Based on their superior intelligence, the armed forces of Burma are better organised and deployed to deal with the Bangladesh forces.
In contrast, the Bangladeshis had little idea about this country. In such a situation, the Bangladeshi side would be crushed, they said.
Earlier, a tabbe who acted as a translator also told sources that the Bangladesh soldier was assaulted into revealing sensitive information about the condition of their armed forces.
Last week a soldier from the Border Guards Bangladesh was taken hostage in the Naaf river that separates the two countries.
Meanwhile BGP officers and their Rohingya collaborators have been asked not to upload any more pictures of the captured Bangladesh soldier on social media.
