An infant has died from diarrhoea at Shaplapur, Bangladesh, according to our local correspondent.
Two and a half year old Azim Ullah, s/o Kashem breathed his last on Friday night.
Many children in the Jhaubon area are suffering from diarrhoea after drinking unsafe water and food.
The recent crisis is a result of the eviction carried out by Bangladesh wuthorities. Rohingyas are denied access to safe water because of the evicition. Many also depend on food found in the wild that are notoriously unsafe especially for children.
There are no medical facilities available for the displaced Rohingyas.
Additionally, forest officials have threatened Rohingyas not to collect wood from the wilderness threatning one of the only sources of income.
Evicted Rohingyas have requested aid agencies to undertake humanitarian operations in the area.
