Concerns for the fate of mother of two

A woman who was missing in police custody resurfaced on Friday.
Rahima Khatun (27) was arrested on Thursday morning. She was later physically tortured.
Police now say that she is spying for a Bangladesh based terror group.
Her father Md Salim has paid 700,000 kyats to the authorities to stop the torture. He arranged the money by borrowing from friends and neighbours.
Sources say that authorities will let Khatun go if she flees to Bangladesh and never returns.
Khatun earlier returned to Burma after her husband died in Bangladesh leaving her with two infant children. She was promised safe return by a local representative on payment of 200,000 kyats.
The money was paid but police nevertheless arrested and tortured Khatun on fabricated charges.
