Sittway Correspondent: The Lutheran World Federation (LWF) has started to re-construct the cyclone destroyed shacks for refugees at Guduardel and Barizapara IDP camp on 20th of Feb, 2016 in Sittway.
The shacks located at Guduardel and Barizapra were devastated by cyclone in July 2015 and the refugees were living in their selves made shacks roofed with leaves where they suffered severely since then. There are about 20 shacks belong to Guduardel and Barizapara of Sittway where the refugees who were displaced owing to violence in 2012 from those villages live in.
The shacks remained unconstructed since they broke down by devastating cyclone in July 2016 but no NGOs reconstructed them as they did not get permission from government and for this reason the refugees had been in trouble living their lives there.
However, The Lutheran World Federation has launched its process of shacks re-construction on 20th of Feb, 2016. There are 12 destroyed shacks being re-built in which 8 rooms in each shacks, said a refugee from the camp who declined to be named.
