People across the Bay of Bengal coastline are passing their hours in terror as the cyclone Komen prepares to make landfall on Thursday.
According to meteorological predictions, the cyclone is most likely to hit the coastline between Chittagong and Barisal of Bangladesh.
Maximum sustained wind speed within 54 kms of the cyclone centre is about 62 kph rising to 88 kph in squalls.
Meanwhile, as the cyclone approaches, many houses in the Maungdaw area have been destroyed by strong wind and heavy rain.
Rohingyas in the area fear devastation on an epic scale if the cyclone makes landfall on the Maungdaw coastal area.
