The head of Myanmar leading NLD, Daw Aung San Suu Kyi urged President Thein Sein as she likes him to call diplomats back to home from 11 countries during their latest meeting at the presidential residence in Naypyidaw on December 2 as regard the smooth transition of power, informed a source of NLD to a media.
The source said in anonymity that those countries are US, UK, France, Germany, Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, South Korea, Australia, China and Japan to whom status level grade A in diplomatic relations.
An observer told that most of the diplomats to those countries were army officers to whom reassigned to the Foreign Ministry.
At present, Myanmar Ambassador to US and UK were recalled to the home. But it is unknown that if it is related to Suu Kyi’s proposal or not.
Myanmar has a diplomatic relation with 97 countries were it opens embassy offices in 46 countries along with 6 consulate offices.
A high-level officer from foreign ministry told to an online media Tomorrow Journal that the diplomats to whom Daw Suu would like to call home back may take rest from their job because there is no hope for them shift to a new office in any other country
