Police inflicted medieval torture methods on Abdu Monaf
One of the man arrested from Kiladong (Du Char Yar Taan) is likely to die, according to informed sources.
Abdu Monaf (25), along with three others were arrested from Kiladong on January 18 on charges of killing a police sergeant last year.
The arrested men were all subjected to brutal torture. Adbu Monaf regarded as the main accused bore the brunt of this torture.
On January 15, 2014, a Rakhine mob backed by security forces killed scores of men, women and children at the remote village of Kiladong.
The government however refuses to acknowledge that such a massacare had taken place. Instead they claim Muslim villagers killed a policeman at Kiladong.
Security forces have intensified crackdown at Kiladong in recent days to prevent witnesses talking to media regarding the massacre, following visits of UN and US delegations to Arakan.
