The four men arrested from Du Char Yar Taan were forced to walk on nails, Burma Times has learned.
Other medieval torture techniques have also been unleashed on the four prisoners. Torture of Muslim men is widespread in the infamous prisons of Arakan where scores have died since June 2012.
Police arrested the four Rohingya men residing around Du Char Yar Taan on January 18. The arrested are Abdu Monaf, Md Tahar, Md Ayou and Zohur Hossain.
As they were produced before court last week on charges of murdering a policeman, the four men, looked broken and unable to stand.
On January 15, 2014, a Rakhine mob backed by security forces killed scores of men, women and children at the remote village of Du Char Yar Taan.
The government however denies any such massacre had taken place. They however say that Muslim villagers killed a policeman in January 2014.
