Many more women sold by notorious human trafficker Muzib Ahmed have been identified.
Muzib was arrested by Indian police in Hyderabad when pointed by refugees in the area.
One of the victim Rozina Begum from Foira bazar in Maungdaw was sold to an old man in Kashmir. Her fate is not known. When her father Khalilur Rahman heard something was wrong, he crossed into India to challenge Muzib. But the wily trafficker had him arrested by Kolkata police on charges of entering Indian territory illegally.
Other victims are Jannat Ara Begum, Razia Ahkther and Noor Fatima. All of them were sold by Muzib to suspicious men who might be involved in the illegal industry.
Rohingya refugees in India are taking initiatives to rescue trafficked women.
