Burma Times Thailand Correspondent: A Global Solidarity Campaign was observed in Chiang Mai, Thailand with the persecuted Rohingya fellow humans of Arakan State, Burma on May 28, 2016.
The Theme of the Campaign is “I too am a Rohingya”.
According to information, the Campaign was organized by International Institute of Peace Studies (IIPS) in Chiang Mai.
The Global Solidarity Campaign aims to mobilize the international solidarity to stop ongoing violence against the Muslims and Rohingya and to promote accurate mutual understanding to achieve social harmony among ethnic and religious communities in Burma.
The Campaign also aims to achieve peaceful coexistence among the communities to stop violence against minorities in South Asia and stop “Islamphobia” around the World.
Many people from diverse communities took part at the Global Solidarity Campaign where many distinguished guests delivered their valuable speeches aiming to restore peace and harmony among the ethnic communities for peaceful coexistence in Burma and around the world, a participant of the Campaign.
