The leading strongest Raakhine politician of anti-Rohingya movement, the head of the Arakan National Party [ANP] for ethnic Rakhine Buddhists’ interest, Dr.Aye Maung unwillingly accepts his loss at his Rakhine populated Constituency Manaung
Dr. Aye Maung accepts his loss of the Upper house Seat in Arakan State constituency-2 from Manaung Township where he contest with firm confident against his rival counterpart from NLD to become the Chief minister of Arakan State to control the authority of Arakan state and to fulfill the ethnic Rakhine people’s ambitions after building their long-expected dream of establishment of Rakhine state for only ethnic Rakhine.
According to report of DVB, “I’ve learned that I lost the polls, to an NLD candidate, but I don’t know exactly by how many votes as I was travelling to Sittwe to vote. I will accept the people’s choice, their decision. Now that I wasn’t elected, I will not be able to implement the projects I planned out for the region,” said Dr Aye Maung, adding that he was happy for the successful NLD candidate.
Dr. Aye Maung declared one week ahead of 2015 Burmese national election that he will play the great roles to establish the development of Arakan state which is currently under control of Military after occupying the Arakan State Chief ministry and will continue the remained agendas of expulsion of Rohingya.
Dr. Aye Maung, member of parliament, chairman of the then Rakhine Nationalities Development Party (RNDP) and head of Rakhine Nationalist Party ‘ANP’ revealed his master policy in establishing Rakhine State in his interview with Venus News Journal on June 14, 2012, that “The Rakhine state should be established in the way Israel was initially established.”
He, Dr. Aye Maung played a great role along with Burmese brutal Genocidaire president Thein Sein in triggering anti-Rohingya and anti-Muslim movement in 2012, and it made tens of thousands of Rohingya as internally displaced people in own soil and forced unknown numbers to embrace desperate journeys by boat.
Currently, Rohingya people who were barred for the first time throughout Rohingya and Burmese history from participating in this 2015 Burmese general election, terribly dread that the Rakhine extremists backed by ANP and ethnocentric Buddhists from NLD will jointly trigger tense situations for Rohingya.
