A Rohingya family has been evicted from their rented home in the Bangladesh border town of Teknaf.
On Saturday, Abdul Jalal (37) s/o Abdul Rashid and his family were forcibly turned out from their abode in the Nayapara area of the town.
The eviction was carried on by the owner Rahim Ullah (32), s/o Ramzan Ali.
Sources say that Abdul Jalal and Rahim Ullah are both human traffickers. Their place in Nayapara is often utilised as a safehouse to keep Rohingya refugees until they board the boat.
Rahim is the senior partner of the enterprise who keeps in touch with the politicians and authorities in Bangladesh. Jalal is the junior partner who herds refugees out of Burma. They fell out with each other over share of the money.
