An about 500 Rohingya people loaded Thai human trafficking vessel which anchored at the bay near Kyawkpandu village of southern Maungdaw for more than 20 days, threw more than 100 people from among them and ran off from the scene last night, according to the locals.
All the people are from nearby villages of Kyawkpandu such as Aleythan Gyaw, Myint Lwut, Enden, Thinbawgway, Thawunchaung, Shingkhali, Doongsai etc, and the local agents of trafficker took them to the vessel for sending Malaysia through the jungle ways in Thailand illegally.
It is said that the agents took 100,000 Kyat (Burmese currency) from each person before transmitting them to that vessel and all the amount was distributed among agents, security forces and ship staffs.
After waiting about three weeks, the vessel refused to carry them to Thailand because the situation over there is disfavor for their business.
At this circumstances, the agents informed to the relatives of people who were on the vessel as to take back them from there by giving 250, 000 kyat again.
In this way, the person who are capable gave the amount and taken back their relatives but for whom unable to make the payments were drown into the bay by the staffs last night and then ran off from the scene.
“About 100 men, women and underage children were threw, among them only a few men were able to reach the coastline but many women and children were never appeared” said a local to Burma Times by mentioning a person who reached to the coastline of Kyawkpandu after long swimming.
The person who got hold of the coastline of Kyawkpandu was a native of Kyawtaw but living inside Bangladesh later 2012 while the situation for Rohingya was dreadful of genocide. He was arrested by the security force and later transferred him to the police custody in Enden village.
Like him another 4, 5 preys of human trafficker reached the bank of Kyawkpandu but escaped the arrestment on the fear of persecutions.
The border security forces remained silent while people were uploading and downloading in open manner because they are obliviously involved in the connection of human trafficking business. They never had an attempt to stop the people nor traffickers, even they kept closed their eyes while women and children were thrown in the bay instead of stopping the vessel from running off.
The vessel may be on the way to Thailand yet because recently the left the spot no sooner murdering about a hundred innocent Rohingya by throwing them in the bay.
