A man kidnapped from the Bangladesh coastal area has informed his family members that he was on the second ship ‘rescued’ by Burmese navy.
19 year Imam Hossain called his family in Kutupalong refugee camp over a mobile phone of an UNHCR staff.
All the rescued migrants are kept in the border region of Taimbru as authorities allege they are Bangladeshis.
The circumstances under which Imam was kidnapped is not clear. The man has been missing since February.
He claimed over phone to be in good health, say family members.
