Buthidaung Correspondent: Valuable goods worth about Kyat 60 million have been gutted in a fire incident in Taung Bazar of Buthidaung north at 4:00 am of Saturday this week.
Source said, “The devastating fire originated from one of the shops in the line near the Jamee mosque of Taung Bazar and soon engulfed to other five adjoining shops which burnt to ashes.
All the shops have been burnt to ashes along with valuable goods and cash money worth about Kyat 60 millions.
Local people extinguished the fire after hours of their frantic efforts since there is no fire service opportunity in Taung Bazar. The fire brigade that exists in Buthidaung Township could not go there as there is no appropriate road communication.
It has not been cleared how the fire broke out or could not detect who torch the shops. However, it is believed that the fire broke out in the shops is a conspiracy done by other people over previous enmity to make the owners loser and accuse them in the fire incident case as well”.
