Injured man returns home

Local community leaders in Bangladesh have asked Rohingyas squatting at Lomburi to leave the makeshift homes as it was not safe for them here.
The locals had come to visit Abu Shukkur discharged from hospital on Friday after miscreants hacked at his head with a cleaver, according to our local correspondent. See more at http://burmatimes.net/refugee-hacked-saves-daughter-rape/
Abdus Shukkur sustained the wounds when he fought off criminals who tried to rape his daughter.
The community leaders told local Rohingyas that they had no control over miscreants who were raping and robbing them. So it was in the best interests of everyone concerned to leave the area, they said.
Rohingyas reacted angrily to the proposals.
Thousands of Rohingyas evicted by Bangladesh authorities in late January face a desperate humanitarian situation.
