Three people arrested from a madrasa in Rajar Bil, Rathedaung have been released by police on Friday.
Md Sabbir, Enayet Ullah and Sabbir were released after the payment of 400,000 kyats. They have been asked to inform the authorities of any suspicious movement in the area.
Scores of Rohingya Muslims from Rajar Bil have been arrested and tortured in the last few days. The crackdown started in response to the escape of six prisoners from the nearby prison in Kiang Dong.
Following the crackdown, most Rajar Bil residents had fled the village. Arrests, torture and sexual harassment have also taken places in other areas of Ratheduang in the past few days.
