Malaysian police detained three Rohingyas related to human trafficking. All the Rohingyas were found to be holding refugee cards.
Speaking to journalists, police said the arrests have been made three days ago.
“We will gather more information. Give us some time as we are interviewing them,” a police spokesman told a press conference in Bukit Aman on Tuesday. He added initial investigations revealed that the trio were victims rather than part of the human smuggling syndicate responsible for the mass graves.
Meanwhile on Monday, scores of well wishers, both Malaysians and Rohingyas turned for the funeral of 21 unidentified victims of human trafficking found in mass graves.
