BGP have arrested a man in Boli Bazar, Maungdaw for arranging humanitarian aid to Rohingyas.
Md Abdullah (37), s/o Abdul Hakim was randomly stopped by BGP as he went to shop in the market on Wednesday evening.
The BGP alleged that Abdullah had received aid money from Turkey and had been distributing the money among locals without the knowledge of the proper authorities.
He was later released after the payment of 300,000 kyats.
The government strictly controls the inflow of aid to Rohingya Muslims in the region leading to shortages of food and other basic amenities.
