A Rohingya man was accused on terror charges in Garaita Bil, Maungdaw North on Monday.
BGP arrested Noor Mohammad in possession of a Bangladesh mobile and used of keeping in touch with IS militants based in that country.
He was later released after the payment of 300,000 kyats.
Many Rohingyas in the area use a Bangladesh phone number to keep in touch with their friends and relatives in the neighbouring country. At present, close to half a million Rohingyas reside in Bangladesh after fleeing state sponsored violence.
Security forces however allege the Bangladesh phone numbers are used to keep in touch with terrorists based in that country.
