A man has been missing for four months after he boarded a vessel for Malaysia from Bangladesh, according to our correspondent.
Since boarding the vessel, nobody has heard from Din Mohammed (30), s/o Musa Ali.
Many Rohingya Muslims embark on rickety boats on a risky journey to Malaysia which is increasingly considered as a safe haven for the stateless people. However, the risky journey over the seas is arranged by human traffickers who generally confine the Rohingyas in jungle camps inside Thailand. Families must pay a ransom before they are set free and allowed to cross over to Malaysia.
However in the case of Din Mohammed, nobody has made any contacts for ransom and his family is fearing the worst. Anyone with information about his whereabouts has been requested to call + 917 503 462 859
