Police have completed the eviction of an ancient Muslim settlement at Palam para, Kyaukpaw, according to our local correspondent.
Locals say that the government could have built a drainage pipe through any other area but they intentionally constructed it in their settlement for evicting them.
At present, the 30 households have erected makeshift shelters on a graveyard.
An ancient mosque at Kyaukpaw has also been destroyed by the authorities, according to locals.
