Five more houses have burned down, this time in Koi Dong, Buthidaung on Wednesday, according to our local correspondent.
At around 8 pm in the night, a fire originated from the house of Md Nobi and spread to four other houses in minutes.
A spate of mysterious fires have been occuring in Arakn since February. In each case Rohingya houses burn down suddenly, often after Rakhine men belonging to the 969 movement are seen scouring the area.
The government however says that Rohingyas burn their own houses down to pin blame on the 969. As a punishment they are forbidden to raise new houses again. In some cases the owners are on the run to avoid arrest by security forces.
