Two Rohingya lumberjacks from Sohag parang, Rathedaung were taken hostage by Natala villagers.
Aman Ullah (27) s/o Abul Hossain and Abdur Shukkur (32) s/o Abdul Karim were returning from work at around 3pm on Wednesday when Natala villagers fell upon them.
Some of their men then went to Sohag parang and told locals there that the two men have been caught red handed while stealing cows.
Local Rohingyas released the two men on a payment of 300,000 kyats at around 6pm.
Incidentally Natala is a term used to refer to Buddhist villagers who have been brought from outside Arakan to settle in these lands to balance out the Muslim populace.
