Natala men robbed Rohingya shepherds before handing them over to the military.
On March 31, the shepherds were taking 35 buffaloes from Porang Chong to Maugdaw bazar. On the way, some Natala villagers suddenly fell upon them and beat them severely.
After the assault, the Natala men took the Rohingyas hostage and tied them up. Later they took the Rohingyas along with 32 buffaloes to a nearby military base.
They kept three buffaloes for themselves.
The military told the Rohingya shepherds that they did not have permission to travel from Buthidaung to Maungdaw. Here the military further assaulted the Muslim men.
The three victims have been identified as Abdul Malek s/o Abdur, Abdur Rokim s/o Abdur Karim and his brother Abdur Rahman.
The men are yet to be released from military custody.
