A Rohingya fisherman has been brutally assaulted by a police officer as he was returning from fishing, according to our local correspondent.
Amir Hossain (28) was returning from Bodo para, Hasurata, Maungdaw South when a police official accompanied by a tabbe stopped him.
Then for no reason the police officer started hitting him. He did not give any excuse for his behaviour.
Locals identify the police official by the name Boli. They say he has the habit of arbitrarily arresting and assaulting Rohingya Muslims.
