Police are extorting shopkeepers whose markets burned down in a fire on May 12.
The victims are being told unless they pay 400,000 kyats to the police, they will be charged with the arson attack.
14 shops burned down at the Central Mosque Market in a late night fire allegedly caused by Rakhine nationalists. There were no casualties but millions of kyats worth of property was destroyed.
Police are now saying that Rohingyas burned their own shops to get sympathy from the international community.
