Bangladesh Border Guards intercepted a Rohingya refugee with a cart full of mangoes.
The security personal accused 24 year Md Rafique of smuggling mangoes over the border. When Rafique said he was only selling mangoes grown in Bangladesh, they recognised his Rohingya accent and threatened to hand him over to the police for entering the country illegally.
Rafique did not argue further as many Rohingyas have been locked up by Bangladesh police in recent days. Instead he paid 6,000 Bangladesh Taka to the Bangladesh Border Guards.
