Pakistan Correspondent: A delegation under Eng. Ferdous Sheikh from Rohingya Federation of Arakan, Burma has made a visit to Islamabad, Pakistan recently.
The delegation has had a high level meeting with the leader of the Senate of Pakistan, President of Muslim League Senator, Raja Zafor Ul Hoque and special advisor to Prime Misnister of Pakistan, Barrister Zafar Ullah Khan at Prime Minister Lounge and met with Pakistan Think Tanks.
In the meeting, they discussed the current plight of Rohingya in Burma and possible roles of Pakistan toward the solution of the long standing problems of Rohingya. The delegation has reminded the resolution passed in Senate and National Assembly of Pakistan in 2015 and urged the Pakistan to play a vital role to convince the Burmese government to ensure the citizenship rights of Rohingya whose existence in Burma for centuries.
The delegation also urged Pakistan to provide legal assistance to file a case in ICC and Support International Forum if the Rohingya are not accepted as citizens of Burma despite their existence in Burma is generations to generations.
