A Rohingya Muslim woman has disappeared after being continuously raped by a human trafficker on board a ‘Malaysia boat’.
The woman whose husband also lives abroad boarded a boat about a month back to travel to Malaysia.
According to witnesses, she was locked up in a room and raped by a trafficker Ayaz.
Her husband paid 200,000 Bangladesh taka to Ayaz for the freedom of his wife.
But so far Ayaz has not given information on her whereabouts even thought the boat’s passengers have landed in Thailand.
Ayaz started the human trafficking operation in 2011. In few years, he has amassed a huge amount of wealth.
His brother Mahmudul Hasan who controls the Bangladesh end of business is based in the Nayapara refugee camp. He is guarded 24/7 by armed bodyguards.
