Two Rohingya refugees were injured in an assault by an influential local man and his cohorts at Rashunghat Burma para in Chittagong, Bangladesh.
On Tuesday, 26 year Enayet Ullah and 22 year Noor Hossain were returning from collecting bamboo when they were attacked by the miscreants. The attackers were angry that the Rohingya men had sold their bamboo products to someone else instead of them.
For over a year, a group of influential businessmen have been forcing the Rohingyas to sell their bamboo products at a very low price. Enayet and Noor however disobeyed this system and sold their products at a more just price to another businessman. This infuriated the local strongmen and they attacked the duo.
