Selim, s/o Zahid Ullah owns a rubber plantation situation besides the prison in the town. On Thursday, his plantation was set ablaze by miscreants allegedly belonging to the anti Muslim group 969.
Locals say although the attackers only planned to destroy the Muslim owned property, fire also spread to nearby plantations owned by Rakhine people. This attracted the attention of authorities and fire service was seen hard at work trying to put down the blaze.
